Application
International scientific research results are currently attracting a lot of attention. A Nobel Prize was awarded in 2015 in recognition of the annual mugwort, which is native to Europe and Asia and grows wild in Germany on the banks of the Elbe River. The plant is valued for over 2000 years, especially in traditional Chinese medicine, already mentioned in the pharmacopoeia "Shen-nung Pan-ts'ao-ching" in the 1st century and described as one of the most important remedies until the 16th century.
In addition to artemisinin, artemisiaketon, artemetin and arteannuin, the plant contains hundreds of other valuable ingredients. Further information on the effects and use of annual mugwort can be found in scientific databases such as www.pubmed.gov, www.cochranelibrary.com, in technical literature or corresponding information sites on medicinal plants on the Internet.
